I hate it.
No shops open or services available for three days, everyone retreats to their summer cottages or to rock festivals to get drunk. I’m not even kidding, the whole fucking country is drunk. I’m not opposed to occasionally having a drink (or eight), but the wallowing inebriated masses disgust me. I hate when everyone is supposed to have a good time. Everyone absolutely has to, because this is a motherfucking celebration after all. If I tell people “No, I don’t want to come to your cottage that has no electricity or running water to eat bbq and drink warm beer for three days”, I’m a spoilsport.
So I think I’m just gonna stop answering my phone now. Better safe than sorry, right? And I also gladly receive suggestions considering my entertainment for that weekend. I’m thinking a TV series marathon. What show should keep me entertained, as I sit in my apartment behind closed blinds, sipping my cold beverage and enjoying my indoor plumbing?
